Visa Checklist

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR NORWAY TOURIST VISA

• Original current passport and all previous passports. Passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond intended travel, issued within the previous 10 years, and containing at least two blank pages.

• Applicant’s passport size photo (white background) not older than six months (35- 40MM).

• A signed print out of the harmonised application form from the UDI online application portal

• A valid travel medical insurance for the duration of the stay in Schengen area with a minimum coverage of EURO 30,000. More details can be found at UDI's webpages.

• Confirmed booking (travel itinerary) of roundtrip air ticket, with fixed travel dates of maximum 90 days and correct number of entries, see the regulations of entries.
  Do not buy the ticket until visa has been granted. Note: The visa will be issued according to the dates on the flight bookings.

• Certificate of the travel agency confirming the booking and itinerary of an organized trip or any other appropriate document indicating the envisaged travel plans.
  If travelling independently: a detailed plan/schedule

• Confirmation of payment from the travel agent when going on cruise or any other package tour.

• Confirmation of accommodation in Norway and other Schengen countries to be visited.

• Documents of employment, school or studies and permission for leave.

• Copy of bank account(s) covering the last 3 months

• Copies of the biodata page and all used pages in your passport

• Letter granting Power of Attorney. (Optional for applicants who want another person to represent them in the case)

• Necessary documents for persons under 18:

  • If you are travelling alone: An original and a copy of letter of consent signed by both parents and legalized.

  • If you are travelling with only one of your parents: An original and a copy of letter of consent from the other parent and legalized.

  • If the parent, you are travelling with, has single custody: A shown original and a copy of certificate of single custody.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR NORWAY BUSINESS VISA

• Original current passport and all previous passports. Passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond intended travel, issued within the previous 10 years, and containing at least two blank pages

• Applicant’s passport size photo (white background) not older than six months (35-40MM).

• A signed print out of the harmonised application form from the UDI online application portal

• Invitation letter from the Norwegian company or organization, stating the applicant’s identity, the purpose of the journey, the period and place of intended stay. Invitation letter should include information regarding what activities will be performed, who will the applicant meet while in Norway, and who will bear the travel and living costs.

• Letter from the Indian company or organization stating the applicant’s identity, the company’s contact details (contact person, e-mail, telephone). Letter should include information regarding position of the applicant, purpose of the journey, what activities will be performed, who the applicant will meet in Norway, and a guarantee of return.

• Memorandum of Associations of the Indian company and one photocopy of the first three pages.

• “Proof of sponsorship and/or of private accommodation” form in case the sponsor (company/organization) is covering expenses and/or accommodation in connection with your travel and stay in Norway Sponsor for visitors - UDI.
  Documentation of own funds for the stay if inviting party is not guaranteeing for the travel expenses.

• Valid travel/health insurance for the entire journey in the Schengen Area. More details can be found at UDI's webpages.

• Invitation letter stating the purpose of the visit and the relation between the applicant and the inviting party/reference.

• Copy of the first and last page of the reference passport (last page only for Indian passport holders).

• Documentation of relationship if visiting family.

• Documents of employment, school, studies and permission for leave, and income if any.

• “Proof of sponsorship and/or of private accommodation” Form in case the sponsor (a private person) is covering expenses in connection with your travel and stay in Norway (Sponsor for visitors - UDI).
  If the cost of the visit is being covered by yourself, you need to document to have NOK 500 per day/person e.g. in the form of a statement of account from your bank, or a wage specification for the past six months.
